Before You Add the Texas LTC Online Course to Your Cart

Please read the information below before purchasing. These details help make sure your course is assigned correctly and that you receive your login, receipt, and next-step emails without delay.

Important Purchase Instructions

• Purchase one course per person. Texas DPS requires each course to be assigned to one person only.
• Do not enter the same email as the customer when buying for someone else. The student will be asked to provide their own email, name as it appears on their driver’s license, and driver’s license number.
• When the purchase is complete, the checkout screen will appear with an order number.
• If you need to purchase additional courses, please click Log Out at the top of the screen and repeat the purchase process for the next student.

After You Order

• After your order is complete, you will receive two emails: one with your receipt and one with your login and account information.
• You may start the course immediately after registering.
• To begin, please log out at the top of the page, then log in again using your login ID and select Forgot Password.

What to Expect in the Course

TheTexasLTConline.com course contains 4 modules and takes approximately 4.5 hours to complete. After finishing the modules, you must take and pass an online exam.

Don’t worry: all of the information you need to successfully complete the online exam is covered in the course. If you do not pass the test, you can take it again up to 3 times without repeating the course.

We suggest using Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Edge to run the course.

After You Complete the Course

• After completing the online course and exam, you will receive an email confirming successful completion.
• After that confirmation email, you will receive a second email with instructions for completing the required information to apply to the State of Texas for your License to Carry.
• Please allow 24–72 hours to receive
• If you do not see the email with the subject “Carry In Texas – Passed The Online Class Important Next Steps” within 24–72 hours, please check your spam folder.
